Influenster Voxbox: Dr. Scholl's Active Series Insoles

This is a great product. I really liked using them. My main problems were 1.) Size of the product and 2.) the actual fit (like in the shoe).

The insoles really help my bad knee (runner's knee). While I was jogging, it really made a difference. And when I was doing cardio, it really helped.

My problem with size is that I'm a woman, and the insoles only goes up to 11. I wear size 12. But if I buy the men's sized insoles, the smallest size they go down to is 10.5 (which is .5 size bigger than what I need).

My problem with the fit is that it really makes my shoes feel like they are about to fall off my feet.

Trying it out:

It is really interesting.  I liked the color and the smell.  I tried it in my hair with it dry (like the directions said), it gave my hair shine and cut down on my frizziness of my curly hair.  But I wanted to know, what more could I do with it.

THEN  I got an email from Influenster giving tips on how to use it.  Here is what I tried:

Rough Rubber

Slightly Beachy, Mostly Sexy: Apply Rough Rubber to your hair and scrunch dry.
So, I tried it out.  And here are the end results:

Pretty good for someone who already has curly hair.  I liked the result, and my hair didn't feel crunchy or crusty like other product make it feel after trying it.

Trying it out: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

IMG_20130531_100915.jpg

I got to try out these nails in "Just Say Yes", which I will admit, I was hesitant to try.  But once I did, I was addicted.  Needless to say, I can say that these nails are not good for farm work (I popped 4 nails off after working at my dad's farm).

But I liked them so much, I went out and got these nails.  Yep, I think I like them even better!

Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes

Me ENJOYING my TastyKake
So, I've never had a Tasty Kake before today, but I think I might have to go out and buy some as soon as payday comes!

I got this wonderful product courtsey of Influenster program. I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster I tried the Tasty Kake Kandy Bar Kake in the S'mores flavor, and it fulfilled my desire for s'mores!

So why did I like it?
It was chocolaty, but not overly so.  Unlike a lot of packaged foods, it didn't have an aftertaste or even the "fake" taste that I can't stand.  I personally loved it just because it tasted fresh.  And I licked up every crumb of it.

To make this even better, I had it for breakfast :).

So do I recommend this treat?  Oh, yes!

Week of May 6 through May 12, 2013

So I lost weight this week!  I lost 3 lbs.  I'm down to 264.6 lbs.  That puts me at 43.4 lbs away from my 10% goal.  That also puts me 94.6 lbs away from my ultimate goal.

So what am I going to do to keep loosing?

  • Exercising with my friends 2 days a week.
  • I gave up sodas as of Friday.  I'm going to instead replace my sodas with water.  Increasing my water intake will help fill me up.

I know it has been a while....

So I know it has been a few weeks since I posted last.  A  lot has happened in the 4 weeks since I posted.

  • I had gained and then lost a bit more weight.  I'm now down to 167.6.
  • I lost my grandma Truey, and I have been struggling with that.
  • I have had to start PT because of a knee injury (it appears between my weight, and my working out, I've pulled a tendon :P).

So, beyond that, I'm working on doing some positive things for myself.

  • I joined Influenster.com.  I actually got an email saying that I'm getting the Spring Fever VoxBox.  I'm so excited.  I'm hoping that it will help me be a bit more positive as well as give me a great way to see things.
  • I working on things that will help my mental health as well as my physical health.
  • Trying to get my bicycle ready so that I can start riding it to work (1st shift job only... Not 3rd shift.... unless I want to die!).
  • Working on new and interesting recipes to help me enjoy my weight loss.

Update: Week of April 8 through April 14, 2013

So I lost 3.3 lbs this week.  I figured I have about 96.7 lbs left to loose to get to my final goal.  I'll post a picture when I hit my 20% weight loss goal (221.2 lbs).

To help me keep up the good work, I started to work out good ways to keep my food fresh and fun.  Which leads me to today's lunch.

Rustic White Flatbread Veggie Pizza!

  • 1- Flatout Thin Crust Flatbreads Artisan Pizza in Rustic White
  • 1/4 cup of fresh mushrooms, cut into slices
  • 1/8 cup of fresh spinach
  • 1/4 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of Ragu pasta sauce of your choice (I picked Garlic and Onion... Trying to keep the vampires away :P)
  • 1/4 cup of shredded 2% Mexican Blend Cheese.
  • 1/2 of a Weight Watchers Chicken Burger (seasoned to your taste).

This was a last minute add to the recipe.
I prefer meat on my pizzas, so I had to think of a good one to add.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Pre-bake your pizza crust for 4-5 minutes.
Remove the pizza crust from the oven and fix your pizza as you want.

Then bake your pizza for 4 minutes.

Eat it!  (And it was DELICIOUS!!!!)

Total points for it is 9 points!  I know, for some of us that is a bit much, but it is yummy and a wonderful treat after being VERY GOOD in the previous week :).
