Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes

Me ENJOYING my TastyKake
So, I've never had a Tasty Kake before today, but I think I might have to go out and buy some as soon as payday comes!

I got this wonderful product courtsey of Influenster program. I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster I tried the Tasty Kake Kandy Bar Kake in the S'mores flavor, and it fulfilled my desire for s'mores!

So why did I like it?
It was chocolaty, but not overly so.  Unlike a lot of packaged foods, it didn't have an aftertaste or even the "fake" taste that I can't stand.  I personally loved it just because it tasted fresh.  And I licked up every crumb of it.

To make this even better, I had it for breakfast :).

So do I recommend this treat?  Oh, yes!

Week of May 6 through May 12, 2013

So I lost weight this week!  I lost 3 lbs.  I'm down to 264.6 lbs.  That puts me at 43.4 lbs away from my 10% goal.  That also puts me 94.6 lbs away from my ultimate goal.

So what am I going to do to keep loosing?

  • Exercising with my friends 2 days a week.
  • I gave up sodas as of Friday.  I'm going to instead replace my sodas with water.  Increasing my water intake will help fill me up.

I know it has been a while....

So I know it has been a few weeks since I posted last.  A  lot has happened in the 4 weeks since I posted.

  • I had gained and then lost a bit more weight.  I'm now down to 167.6.
  • I lost my grandma Truey, and I have been struggling with that.
  • I have had to start PT because of a knee injury (it appears between my weight, and my working out, I've pulled a tendon :P).

So, beyond that, I'm working on doing some positive things for myself.

  • I joined Influenster.com.  I actually got an email saying that I'm getting the Spring Fever VoxBox.  I'm so excited.  I'm hoping that it will help me be a bit more positive as well as give me a great way to see things.
  • I working on things that will help my mental health as well as my physical health.
  • Trying to get my bicycle ready so that I can start riding it to work (1st shift job only... Not 3rd shift.... unless I want to die!).
  • Working on new and interesting recipes to help me enjoy my weight loss.

Update: Week of April 8 through April 14, 2013

So I lost 3.3 lbs this week.  I figured I have about 96.7 lbs left to loose to get to my final goal.  I'll post a picture when I hit my 20% weight loss goal (221.2 lbs).

To help me keep up the good work, I started to work out good ways to keep my food fresh and fun.  Which leads me to today's lunch.

Rustic White Flatbread Veggie Pizza!

  • 1- Flatout Thin Crust Flatbreads Artisan Pizza in Rustic White
  • 1/4 cup of fresh mushrooms, cut into slices
  • 1/8 cup of fresh spinach
  • 1/4 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of Ragu pasta sauce of your choice (I picked Garlic and Onion... Trying to keep the vampires away :P)
  • 1/4 cup of shredded 2% Mexican Blend Cheese.
  • 1/2 of a Weight Watchers Chicken Burger (seasoned to your taste).

This was a last minute add to the recipe.
I prefer meat on my pizzas, so I had to think of a good one to add.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Pre-bake your pizza crust for 4-5 minutes.
Remove the pizza crust from the oven and fix your pizza as you want.

Then bake your pizza for 4 minutes.

Eat it!  (And it was DELICIOUS!!!!)

Total points for it is 9 points!  I know, for some of us that is a bit much, but it is yummy and a wonderful treat after being VERY GOOD in the previous week :).

Trying Something New

So, I'm fat...  I know, how depressing is that description.  But it is very true.  For my height of 5'9.5", I should weight between 145 lbs and 170 lbs.  I currently weigh 169.8 lbs.  Now that being said, my final goal is to reach 170 lbs.  But the question is how am I going to get there?

Well, first I started Weight Watchers in February.  Then in March, I joined an exercise group at my job # 1. So this month (April), I decided to keep doing new things.  I found this great app called Sworkit (http://sworkit.com/).

So what is Sworkit?  This is what their website claims:

What is it?

Sworkit builds randomized circuit training workouts that you can do anywhere. You just choose which part of your body you want to work on and how long you have to work out, and Sworkit takes care of the rest. By providing an actual workout and taking you through the motions, you don't have to do any other planning or have any extra equipment.

Why Sworkit?

We all have the desire to take care of ourselves and we know that we need fitness to stay healthy. But it's easy to come up with excuses: "I don't have the time". "I don't like gyms". "I don't want to buy new equipment". "I get bored too easily". "I travel for work". "I don't know where to start". Sworkit is here to make sure that none of these excuses apply and we can all get a simple workout in whenever we want.

What's with the randomization?

Workouts can be boring or they can be fun. The reason Sworkit employs randomization is to give the user a new experience every time they workout. This allows for more motivated sessions and provides excitement, and sometimes even pain. Pain is good.

Why circuit training?

Circuit training has been proven to provide highly efficient workouts at a fast pace. Sworkit allows you to choose the total amount of time you want to work out and provides you with the proper exercise timing, rest, and transitions.

Sounds great, right?  That what I'm think.  So, I decided to try this out.

I'll let you know how it all goes though :)

Week of April 1-6

So today I lost 1.6 lbs.  Yeah!  I also discovered that I gained a water-weight of 2.2 lbs during the week.

I got the new activelink for Weight Watchers.  Last week was my assessment of my activity.
Let me tell you, I was disappointed with my activity level.  For a week, I only got a total value of 4 activity points for a week.  That is not good.  Actually it is disappointing.  :(

So for the following week, I'm going to have to work hard to get 3 activity points a day... this is harder that I would think.  So far today I did 40 minutes of working out on the Wii and it equaled only 19% of my goal.  Which equals 0 activity points so far.

So now I'm going to try and figure out what I'm going to do for the week to make sure that I get 3 activity points a day.  Any suggestions?  I'm opening to any good ideas!
